Kevin Pritchard, the wave and the image

The photographs on this site were taken by Kevin Pritchard whose artistic talent we appreciate, having already admired his sporting achievements. Kevin Pritchard, world champion in 2000, then in 2006 succeeding in the most spectacular discipline – the wave – has indeed marked the history of windsurfing, both by his long list of triumphs (which cannot be summarized in a mere few lines) and by his involvement in the development of his sport.

His tireless work on design and technique, but also his fantastic longevity, make him one of the most engaging and admired individuals in his discipline. In 2011, he announced that he was giving up competitive windsurfing, but it is impossible to imagine that his passion for the sea and the pleasure of pushing himself to the limit have truly deserted him.

Capturing energy in an image
Video and photography are two passions to which Kevin Pritchard now intends to devote more time. At Diapason, we’ve been following both his sporting and artistic achievements for a number of years.

The energy and enthusiasm that Kevin Prichard captures in his images seem to us to carry interesting echoes of our business activities and philosophy. That is why we wanted to use his work to illustrate our website and our communication materials.
